The Creation of Man

In between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2 many scholars believe a
tremendous amount of time passed. And the earth was without form,
and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit
of God moved upon the face of the waters.1 It is believed there were
one or two galactic years before Satan and his followers turned
against God. A galactic year, also known as a cosmic year, is the
duration of time required for the Sun to orbit once around the center
of the Milky Way Galaxy. Estimates of the duration of one orbit range
from 225 to 250 million terrestrial years.
Adam and Eve were cast out of the garden and left to toil in the
ground. God provided animal skins for them, which was the first
animal sacrifice known to man. So once God took them out of the
garden, He placed them in a cave to protect them from wild animals.
This was the first time Adam and Eve experienced darkness and it
was very terrifying to them. Prior to their fall they had shone with the
brilliant light of God’s glory; even though there was day and night
upon the earth, this glory or fire shone with great brightness. This fire,
of which we have a portion, formally yielded since our transgressing
and the change of our condition by which our nature has been altered.
Now fire has power over us and when we come near it, we are
burned.

The darkness was not a punishment but a condition of our fallen
nature. God knew we would fall and be put out of the garden. He did
not want to force us not to transgress. He made us children of the light
and He did not want us to turn to darkness, but we did not keep His
commandments. It was a pretty simple command: “Of every tree of
the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of
good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of
it you shall surely die.”2 God knew Satan, who deceived himself,
would deceive us, so He made known to us the tree, which I might
add is what Christ was crucified on, for us not to come near it, and not
to eat of the fruit. He instructed us not to even sit under it. Had He not
made this commandment to us, it would have been an offence on His
part, and we would have blamed Him for our fall.

The cost of our transgression was great. Pure praise was no longer
ours, nor was righteous prayer or understanding hearts. Our sweet
thoughts have been replaced with carnality, just counsel and
discernment have vaporized. Upright feelings or our bright nature
have left us, and darkness has filled our hearts. When we were under
the hand of God all creatures yielded to us; but now, they rise against
us. Before we were in an exalted state, but now we are in a state of
degradation. From glory and fellowship with God to abasement, from
joy to sorrow, and from resting to fasting and fainting we suffer for
our sin.

Now Lucifer, who is the hater of all good, devised that since God
had provided by covenant salvation to mankind and gave him an
escape for his hardships, yet had not promised anything to Lucifer to
deliver him from his hardships, he would kill Adam. Satan concluded
that the earth would be rid of Adam and Eve and left to him alone.
This way when Adam was dead there would be no descendants to
inherit God’s promised kingdom. He determined that without Adam,
God would be in need of him again and would restore his angel horde
of demons. God had to explain to Adam that it was Satan who hid in
the serpent, who deceived them and stripped their garment of light
away from them. Now Lucifer Satanial has become an abomination
among the angels. His appearance has become hideous and has
exposed the evil being that resides inside.

Prior to Adam’s fallen condition, he was able to see the spiritual
universe and all of God’s creation. Now because of sin we have
become blind to all that is around us. Now he has come from the
garden to misery, from life to death, from peace to trouble, from
gladness of heart to a very strange land. Satan with his followers came
into the cave where Adam and Eve resided, and beating them, left
them for dead. This was the first time of many that Satan has tried to
destroy mankind.

Eve wept and said to the angels, “O, Spirits who wait upon God,
and upon my being unable to see you! When I was in my former
bright nature, then I could see you.” When the angels heard these
words, all grieved over Adam and cursed Satan for what he had done.
The angels said unto Adam, “You listened to Satan instead of God
and forsook the Word that had created you and believed that Satan
would fulfill the promise to you. We will make known to you what
came to us through him before his fall from heaven.”

Lucifer gathered all the hosts from heaven, deceiving them and
promising to give them a great kingdom, a divine nature, and other
promises that he couldn’t keep. Many believed his words were true,
so they yielded to him and renounced the glory of God. “He then sent
for us according to the orders from which we were to come under his
command and to listen to his vain promises. We did not take his
advice,” but many followed him to condemnation. Then after he had
fought with God, he gathered all his hosts and made war with us. Had
it not been for the strength and power of God Almighty we could not
have prevailed against him. When he fell from among us and was
hurled out of heaven there was great joy for his riddance. Had he
continued in heaven, nothing, not even one angel, would have
persevered. God in His mercy drove him from among us and cast him
down to earth. Satanial has now become darkness and a worker of
unrighteousness.

Lucifer has continued to make war with Adam causing him to be
forced out of the Garden of Eden into this strange land where all these
trials have come upon him. Death, which God has brought upon
Lucifer, is now brought upon mankind because Adam obeyed Satan
and transgressed against God. Then all the angels rejoiced and asked
God not to destroy Adam and to bear with him until the fulfilment of
the promise, and to help him in this world until Adam is free from
Satan’s hand. Adam wept before God and prayed that He would
deliver him.

Over time Adam and Eve’s bodies changed and God had to equip
them to eat food. God had to explain to them that they had to eat and
drink to stay alive. Then Adam cried out to God, “I ask You to deliver
us out of Satan’s hands, or else have pity on me, and take my soul out
of my body and out of this strange land.” Then God responded by
saying, “If only there had been this prayer before you sinned, then
you would have rest from the trouble you are now in.” So, Adam
listened to God and went down to the bottomland where there was
wheat growing and ate. He found figs to dine on and went to the river
to drink. So, God taught Adam how to make bread and to survive in
his new world. Adam made an altar and offered an oblation to God.
They stood and prayed, thanking Him for the food and water. Then
God said to Adam and Eve, “Since you have made an oblation and
offered it to Me, I shall make it my flesh, and when I come down
upon the earth to save you, it shall be offered continually upon an
altar for forgiveness and mercy unto those who partake of it in
accordance with what will be required.” God sent a bright fire upon
the offering and filled it with brightness, grace, and light. Then the
Holy Spirit came down upon the oblation.3

Adam died and all his sons buried him in the land of his creation.
He was the first person to die upon the earth and the first to be buried.
He lived nine hundred and thirty years, seventy years short of one
thousand. One thousand years are one day in the testimony of God,
therefore it was written concerning the tree of knowledge: And
the LORD God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the
garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good
and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall
surely die.”4

For this reason, Adam did not complete the years of this day
because he died during it. An interesting note: The same year Adam
died, Cain, Adam’s son, was killed by his house falling on him. There
is no other explanation except this note, “For with a stone Cain killed
Abel and by a stone was Cain killed in righteous judgment. So, it is
said: with the implement of which a man kills his neighbor with the
same he shall be killed.”

Everything that God creates is good, so God did not create sin
because He hates sin. Some say that Lucifer created sin and it is
somehow out of God’s control, which is not true. Sin is not a created
thing, but a wicked perversion of the good things that God created.
For an example, the sin of fornication is the perversion of sex. Pride is
a deep pleasure or satisfaction derived from one’s own achievement,
which is a corruption of self-esteem. Sin is a parasite that attaches to
the good things God created for the well-being of mankind.
Therefore, it is so easy for us to be seduced by sin. A lie once
believed is never satisfied and leaves us craving more.

For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but
because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself
also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the
glorious liberty of the children of God.5 Creation was caused or
forced to undergo pointlessness or uselessness, not willingly, but to
deliver us from the state of moral depravity. God did not start His
work in the creation of this universe. There are many before us just
like there will be many after the dissolution of this world. “For as the
new heavens and the new earth which I will make shall remain before
Me,” says the LORD.6

We look around the world the way it is, and we are astonished at
its accomplishments, but all this has happened many times in the past.
We are just new babies trying to take in all that is thrown at us. There
are civilizations that are millions of years old that are out of our view
because of our limited sight. That which has been is what will be, that
which is done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the
sun. Is there anything of which it may be said, “See, this is new?” It
has already been in ancient times before us.7
