The Creation of Angels

The dawn of light’s first rays revealed the primitive glory of our
Creator’s new expansion of His own reality of thoughts wrapped in a
mist of primordial splendor. Just as the universe gave birth, God
created a spirit race of beings who worshiped and served Him in
different capacities. Can you just imagine the majesty of the heavens
filled with the songs of angels in newborn space? The sons of God are
living witnesses to creation of the material universe, the morning stars
of creation. Heavenly perfection displayed its first light some fourteen
billion years ago.

All angelical spirits were created, each different in their own way,
and designed for the task that God intended for them. They do not
divide or give birth in any form whatsoever, nor can they change from
one to the other, but their individual existence began at creation.
Angels are eyewitnesses to divine wisdom and knowledge. They saw
firsthand the glory and the magnificence of the love of our heavenly
Father, a love so perfect that our Father could not judge them who
turned against Him but surrendered all judgment to Jesus Christ, the
One who paid the price for all.

The very first created angel had to be close to the image of God,
who is a Creature of all understanding, knowledge, and power. After
this, the ranks of the nine divisions were made. First, the supreme
hierarchy, which are the seraphim, the cherubim, and the thrones.
After, there is the middle hierarchy that includes the dominions, the
virtues, and the powers. The lower hierarchy included the
principalities, the archangels, and the angels. The powers and the
principalities were the majority of those that fell from grace.
However, we know of at least one cherub that rebelled against God.
The goal of the hierarchy is to assimilate to a union with God. It
forms and perfects all its citizens into the holy image of God and is a
reflection of His power and glory. God, the source of all light, fills
every being with the gift of light and pours it out abundantly in
accordance with His law.

The divisions of angels are called choirs. Just imagine the
perfection of their voices as billions and billions sing to God
continually throughout all the heavens. The choirs exercise their
power by means of illumination, enriching and perfecting those who
are below them. It is impossible to determine how many there are, but
Enoch says there is an angel for every star, and they are described as
legions. A legion is 6,826 angels. The word “angel” means
messenger, so they don’t become angels until they are sent. The word
“angel” is not an office or figurehead, but it is related to their nature.
They make themselves visible to mankind either by taking the
form of man, a brilliant light, or a minister of flaming fire. There are
guardians of the children of God. Take heed that you do not despise
one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels
always see the face of My Father who is in heaven.1 They are the true
residents of heaven and are the citizens of the heavenly Jerusalem.
They are immortal and from the beginning they were perfect of their
kind, not created but made through grace, not by nature. They are of a
pure mind, religious and devout, with unblemished morality and
dedicated to the service and divine praises of God.

They are extremely delicate and light in a way that seems too
perfect for this world. When seen by the human eye, there appears no
material matter to them at all. One simply sees an outline of the body
with waves of energy flowing behind them as they walk through the
air. They have a body similar to a human with arms and legs. They
show facial expressions where eyes and mouth are evident. Ears and a
nose are not very prevalent to where you can notice. The one I saw
years ago carried a tablet just like you see humans carrying today;
however, they were not invented at the time of my experience. When
they realize you can see them, they become afraid and run. The first
one I saw, which was the only full-bodied apparition I have
witnessed, made a very shocked expression with his mouth and face
before he disappeared.

Angels are intellectual persons gifted with liberty, always active
because they never sleep or get tired. They have obtained immortality
through the grace of God and the limit of their power is only known
by God Himself. An example of that power was when an angel killed
an entire encampment of Assyrians. And it came to pass on a certain
night that the angel of the LORD went out and killed in the camp of the
Assyrians one hundred and eighty-five thousand; and
when people arose early in the morning, there were the corpses—all
dead.2

Because of the angels’ spiritual nature, they maintain a higher
place than other created things. Man is second on the scale of
creatures. What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of
man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than
the angels, and You have crowned him with glory and honor.3
Angels have a life that is incapable of failure and are untainted by
corruption or death. Each one is a distinct individual subsiding in an
intellectual manner and is a person just like us, which is an individual
substance of a rational nature. Their personality is far superior to ours,
with each one being a distinct species. They are endowed with
intellect and a free will just like humans. They are celestial
intelligences superior by far to us and their ability to reason is found
in both good and fallen angels (demons). All intelligence in both
humans and angels is the substance of God. Our minds grow with
time, whereas an angelical mind is created in full perfection and it
does not suffer decay. Its life is not subject to waning as a human life
that will grow old.

They are a higher nature than we are and are much closer to God,
so they receive more of God’s light, giving them a greater power of
understanding. They generally communicate with each other with
their mind rather than the spoken word. They are extremely capable
of advancing in knowledge but do not have the ability to understand
the secret knowledge of the heart, nor are they aware of future acts of
their own free will, these being exclusively divine entitlements. Their
thought process and the future actions of mankind are speculative and
cannot give rise to absolute certainty.

Angels talk to each other by an act of their will; they will open
their mind to another to transmit thought. This communication
process is called illumination and is something that I have desired in
my meditation practices so that I may be illuminated by God. They do
not need ears or even a tongue to communicate but exchange thoughts
with each other and their councils because there is a chain of
command where higher angels instruct the classes. Angels have a
human form and can reveal this form to us as needed. They are
capable of expressing human language for us to hear their instructions
and are capable of communication. The difference in their
illumination is determined by specific degrees of their perfection.
One would think that angels, being so close to God, would be
enlightened about such mysteries as the church age, the mystery of
Christ within you, and the mystery of inequity, but they are not. Even
when Lucifer was tempting Christ out in the desert, he didn’t know he
was talking to his Creator. There are several references in the Bible
that they are aware of the time of the end, but because they are always
immortal beings, I do not believe they are conscious of its
ramifications. Just like mortal man they are running around like
nothing is fixing to happen. Fallen angels have blinded themselves
with sin to the consequences of the coming events, but they are aware
that their time is limited.

Their willful transgression of the laws of God and their existence
as beings with free will enable them to be endowed with intelligence.
Unfortunately, with a free will comes the existence of sin, but it was
God’s choice not to have a universe with mindless robots, not to be an
instructor of machines but to have relationships with those around
Him. When one of us overcomes the power of sin, the angels in
heaven stop what they are doing and rejoice about our conversion for
thirty minutes. Good angels love humans very much while fallen
angels hate us to the point that they want to exterminate our existence.
Spiritual substances are said to be present in a particular place by
the ability of their own reason, by virtue of the power of their will,
and their movements are monitored by the authorities above them.
Being completely nonmaterial, they do not have to fill space but can
come and go without being seen. Their activity can be detected by
their actions as in the miracle cures that happened by the Sheep Gate
in Bethsaida. For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool
and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the
stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had.4
Angels can be seen and detected when they are going about their
regular activities, regardless if they are interacting with material
objects. Please understand there are angels and demons present in our
daily lives, and through fasting, meditation, and prayer, slight
movements can be noticed. Signs can be detected many times out of
the corner of your eye. One may see a spirit traveling through matter.
The more one focuses on the characteristics of an angel, the more we
realize that we are not alone.

Many seek of the ghosts of their ancestors. However, their
ancestors are not what they come in contact with because they are
either in heaven or hell. They are not the ghosts of humans but their
familiar spirit. Many try to come in contact with spiritual beings, not
knowing what they are getting into. These spirits can influence or take
control of your mind, changing your personality to theirs. What they
reveal to you is not necessarily what they are. Extreme caution must
be taken when dealing with these entities. Give no regard to mediums
and familiar spirits; do not seek after them, to be defiled by them:
I am the LORD your God.5 And the person who turns to mediums
and familiar spirits, to prostitute himself with them, I will set My face
against that person and cut him off from his people.6

Vain imaginations one might have while lying in bed at night
seem innocent, yet it is a familiar spirit causing the arousal. When a
man looks upon the figure of a woman, or vice versa, he is aroused by
the spirit that is controlling his personality, or should I say the
personality that lives through him by the spirit. By doing this we are
prostituting ourselves with the spirit. Nothing is how it seems and
anything that may be seemingly harmless has spiritual ramifications.
Natural perfection of one angel is different from another. They
receive degrees of grace much like mankind but differ even more.
Angels of light, saints, and sons of God who oppose Satan always see
the face of our Father. Their existence, just like man’s, is a
supernatural gift from God that is freely bestowed out of the same
divine love. However, angels are not holy by nature and possess their
measure of sanctification from the Holy Spirit just like we do. The
degree of sanctification is based on their rank and granted them grace
while developing their nature.

They had to undergo a probationary period just like man where
they were free to choose between good and evil—a period of
existence just like Adam and Eve before their fall. Today this grace
period has ended, and they no longer have the freedom to choose
between the two. During their period of probation, some of the angels
sinned and were condemned to hell. The angels who did not sin are
now unable to sin, just as we will be unable to sin when we receive
our immortal bodies. The first act of an angel is that the love of God
is their final choice. They will love God forever. Satan, on the other
hand, was found with sin from the very beginning so the angel who
sins falls extremely far because of the perfection they were granted
and the proximity they had to God. Angels, just like mankind, were
given the opportunity to repent from their sins. By whom also He
went and preached to the spirits in prison, who formerly were
disobedient.7

Each individual angel falls into sin by their own accord while the
fall of Adam was influenced by Satan, and all mankind fell. All
mankind was represented by Adam through a divine decree, so since
Adam sinned all of us have sinned and fallen short of the glory of
God. Only one-third of the angels disobeyed God and sinned. The
balance, undismayed by the behavior of their brethren, remained loyal
to God. Since the fall of Adam, sin has exercised a reign of death over
man, so Satan became the prince of this world by making man a slave
to sin. Satan, with his demon hordes, extends a reign of death over all
of mankind by way of seductive temptations, obsessions, and
materialism, by all sorts of black magic and spiritualism, and by the
superstitions of idolatry.

Enoch describes the angels: “There are angels that manage the
gates of the stars, the planets, and all the moons. In the midst of the
heavens there are armed soldiers, serving the Lord, with tympana and
organs. With an incredible voice that continues without pause or
interruption, they sing various songs with the sweetest voices
imaginable. It is impossible to describe and will astonish your mind. It
is so wonderful and marvelous, the singing of those angels, you never
want to stop listening to them.

Then there are the archangels who are above the rest of the angels.
They measure all life in heaven and earth. They are appointed over
the seasons and the years. They are over the rivers, the sea, and are
over the fruits of all the earth. The grass, the trees, and every living
thing, including the rain, the dew, and all food. They write down
every thought of the souls of men, record all their deeds, and monitor
their lives. They go before the Lord’s face, and in the midst of the
phoenixes and cherubim they sing and rejoice before the footstool of
the Lord.
