I have Opened the Door

I would like for you to stop what you are doing. Empty all the thoughts of your mind and through the eye of your heart I would like to take you to a place where there is no stress. Where time is a fragment of space broken off at both ends. A place where there is no hunger, sickness or loneliness.  Where all the obligations of this world do not exist.  A place where the past, present, and future all combine into one continuum. A place where there is no darkness, only light. Eternity is a condition of timeless space where we as immortal beings will reside in the eternal light of our Heavenly Father. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

We tend to view life as if this is all there is. However there is an entire world that goes on around us every day. There are millions of spiritual beings coming and going around us, influencing us in the decisions we make. They battle for control of our world-wide economic systems. Their presence is all around us, and we simple make fools of ourselves if we believe we are in control.

We are spiritual beings dwelling in a body of flesh. We are eternal spirits who will one day leave our body at death. And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Genesis 2:7 KJV  I am confidant that I lived prior to my birth and I am confident that I will live after my death. The Bible tells us that God foreknew us before the foundations of the earth were laid, and I believe we knew Him. These things are hidden from us now so that we can exercise our free will to make a choice as to who we will follow. God Himself took on a body of flesh and walked among us for 33 years. We have the record of His earthly visit that has withstood the test of time. We are always looking into outer space for highly intelligent aliens life forms. We never expected for them to look like us, walk like us, and be like us.  Thanks to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we can look into inward space for a relationship with our Creator.

Our faith in Jesus Christ enables us to live, in the spiritual sense, in eternity now. Through the Word of God we are no longer bound by present things. Faith places the unseen world and the eternal world right before us because we can focus our attention on things not seen.  We read our Bible and learn about God, heaven, Angels, Satan and his demons. All these invisible things can not be seen just as our hope is in things not seen. So if you are going to walk through the pages of the Bible you will need eyes that can foresee spiritual places and ears that can hear spiritual sounds. We go to prayer and ask our Heavenly Father to open these things up to us so we might understand His will.  When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained; What is man who You take thought of Him, And the son of man who You care for Him? Yet You have made Him a little lower than God, And You crown Him with glory and majesty!  You make Him to rule over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under His feet. Psalm 8:3-6 NASB

Imagine the endless opportunities we will have.

We will be able to think our way through time and space  – We will be able to go to any place at any point in time. We will be able to see firsthand any historic event. Walk alongside Jesus as He preaches. Experience the recreation of the universe. See all the marvels that our Heavenly Father has in store for us. At the same time we will have a physical body with arms and legs where we can walk , eat, drink just as we do now. The only difference is we do these things for enjoyment, not a necessity to sustain life.

We will be able to sit in the throne room and communicate with God –  At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it.  And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper and ruby. A rainbow that shone like an emerald encircled the throne.  Surrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on them were twenty-four elders. They were dressed in white and had crowns of gold on their heads. From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder. In front of the throne, seven lamps were blazing. These are the seven spirits of God.  Also in front of the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal. Revelation 4:2-6 NIV

We will be able to communicate with the angels and sons of God – Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord… Job 1:6 NASB We will walk among the fiery stones of heaven.  We will be able to witness the coming and going of all creatures. We will be able to speak their language and they will be able to speak to ours.

All knowledge will be at our disposal –  For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. 1 Corinthians 13:12 KJV   Nothing will be hidden from us. We will be as one with our God and nothing will ever separate us again.

We will have a peace that can only be found in the presence of God – Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13   Grace, mercy and peace will be with us, from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. 2 John 1:3  There will be no more war, death, or famine. We will live peacefully with each other. There will not be found a bad word, hatred, or bigotry anywhere. We will live like one big happy family where the curse of sin will be lifted forever. The rewards of eternity will be beyond our imagination. The small price we  pay will be worth all the time and effort. This world is a very evil place, and for us to continue in this direction will only result in permanent death and destruction. I urge you, if you have not opened the door and let the love of Jesus Christ enter into your soul, do it now by simply saying this prayer, “Dear Heavenly Father,  I admit that I am a sinner. I believe Your Son, Jesus Christ, died for my sins and was risen from the grave so that I may have fellowship with You.  Please come into my life and lead me in Your ways. In Jesus Christ name I pray,  Amen.”

In the book of Revelation God shows us the details of His Holy City. John, the writer of Revelation is carried away in the spirit to a great and high mountain. He is shown the great and Holy city of Jerusalem descending from heaven and having the Glory of God. In Revelation 21:12-21 we read, “Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.  Also she had a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west.

 Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names  of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.  And he who talked with me had a gold reed to measure the city, its gates, and its wall.  The city is laid out as a square; its length is as great as its breadth. And he measured the city with the reed: 1,500 miles. Its length, breadth, and height are equal. The city will be about half the size of the United States in area, but will be 1,500 miles high which could mean it has many levels or it could have its own atmosphere. Then he measured its wall: 216 feet, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel.  The construction of its wall was of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass.  The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones: the first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald,  the fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.  The twelve gates were twelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.” The Lord God will dwell inside of the city and will have no need of light because the glory of God will illuminate it 24 hours a day. It will be very different from the home we live in now. Our homes are divided into rooms, however there will be no need for a bedroom because we will not sleep. We will not require a bathroom or kitchen because we will not have to eat, however we can if we want to.

In chapter 22 of Revelation we are told about the tree of life. “And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.  In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.  And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him.  They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads.” It will be a very beautiful place to spend eternity. The curse we have suffered from here on earth will be gone. The Bible says in 1 John 3:2, Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. NKJV  We will be like Him and we will be joint heirs of all creation. We will not be servants but sons and daughters. We will have a very close relationship with God and we will reign with Him forever over the new earth. “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9 NKJV

The former things will not be remembered. The former things will be no more. We will no longer need to feel guilty over the things we did wrong and the people we hurt.  We will live together in peace and harmony. True joy will engulf our daily lives. Isaiah 65:17-19 gives us a little more information. “For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.”

I urge you to reconcile with God. Take whatever steps necessary to turn away from sin and turn towards God. If that means dissolving long time relationships, if it means turning away from old habits, if it means making major changes in your life, so be it. Let them go and rediscover the relationship you had with God before the foundations of the earth were laid. He knew you and I believe you knew Him before our spirits were placed on this earth. All the glamour and man-made responsibilities is just a smoke screen as to why we are really here. There is only one reason we were placed in this environment, and that was to make a decision as to who we were going to follow, God or Satan. It is your choice to either live in eternity with your Heavenly Father or spend eternity with Satan. Please don’t let another day go by without reconciling with God.
