The Kinsman Redeemer

358554-solar-system-cloud-and-earthGod created all the earth and everything that is in it. Then God created Adam and gave him power over all His creation. Adam ruled over the mammals, the fish, and the birds of the air. He gave all the animals their names. God gave Adam dominion over the earth, but the earth still belonged to God. “The earth is the Lords, and the fullness thereof .” Psalms 24:1 NKJV  The earth was created for the meek so they may delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

Everything was going well on earth until Adam sinned. He disregarded a direct communication from God  and gave his rights to the earth away to Satan. Lucifer, the devil, is now and has been under control of this earth for the last six thousand years.  The plants, the animals, and all of us have been under Satan’s curse. That is why there is so much wrong today about God’s creation. That is why all things on earth physically die. We are born, we reach adulthood and then we slowly wither away unto death.

There is a time coming when Adam’s time , now Satan’s, will come to an end. At that time God will place the devil in the Purple-Solar-System-Wallpaper-1280x1024bottomless pit and all creation will be delivered from evil. Adam lost his lease of the earth, so to speak, when he sinned against God.  Thanks to God our Heavenly Father foresaw these events and made a plan of salvation so that not only we, but the earth and the rest of creation will be redeemed from this dreaded curse that hounds us to this very day. Our redeemer is Jesus Christ or the second Adam who through His crucifixion has already defeated death.

Now there are terms of redemption concerning us, the earth, and the animals. It has to be done to meet God’s standard, which is perfect in every way. In Revelation chapter 5 there is a seven sealed scroll that lays down the terms of the redemption of earth. Jesus redeemed our souls at Calvary. He will redeem our bodies at the rapture of the church, and He will redeem the earth and all creation during the time of the removal of the seven seals from the scroll. In this little scroll  is the account of all that is to follow as having to do with God’s dealings with man, angels, Israel, and all creation. Well now heaven comes to a complete standstill in a search for someone , who is worthy, to open the seals of the scroll. Until a person can be found there is nothing more that can be revealed. The redemption of all  creation is on hold until the conditions God set to be met for the person to open the scroll. The seven trumpets and the seven vials of the wrath of God will have to wait.

We will have to go back to the Old Testament to understand these conditions. There are many laws and regulations concerning our dealings with God.  In Deuteronomy 25:5 we read, “If brothers are living together and one of them dies without a son, his widow must not marry outside the family. Her husband’s brother shall take her and marry her and fulfill the duty of a brother-in-law to her.”  They did this so that the name of the husband would live on. The brother must first prove that he is financially able to support her. Jesus with His sacrificial blood redeemed the bride ( the church ). He was financially able to save what was lost in Adam because of the high price He paid when he sacrificed Himself on the cross.

Now if a man lost all that he had , and could not pay his bills, his creditors could take him as a slave. When the man had served six years as a slave he was set free. When Adam disobeyed God he lost all that he had, and  became a slave to sin.  In 2 Peter 3:8-9 we read, “But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.  The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” Another reference to this law is in Genesis where God worked six days  and on the seventh day He rested.

According to the Bible we have had nearly six thousand years of human slavery to sin. These six thousand years add up to six days on God’s clock and it is about time for us to reach the seventh day of rest or our redemption from sin. When Adam gave way to sin he turned this world over to Satan who has been the god of this age.  For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 NKJV  Satan’s time is running out and it will not be too long from now when Adam’s descendants will be set free, because the second Adam ( Jesus Christ ) paid the ransom for our sins with His sacrificial blood. The Bible says, “There is no remission of sin without the shedding of blood.” Christ became our redeemer.

3D-Earth-Solar-System-800x1280In Leviticus 25;23-28  we read about the redemption of land. “The land shall not be sold permanently, for the land is Mine; for you are strangers and sojourners with Me.  And in all the land of your possession you shall grant redemption of the land. ‘If one of your brethren becomes poor, and has sold some of his posses, and if his redeeming relative comes to redeem it, then he may redeem what his brother sold. Or if the man has no one to redeem it, but he himself becomes able to redeem it,  then let him count the years since its sale, and restore the remainder to the man to whom he sold it, that he may return to his possession.  But if he is not able to have it restored to himself, then what was sold shall remain in the hand of him who bought it until the Year of Jubilee; and in the Jubilee it shall be released, and he shall return to his possession.”  The first Adam sold all of us out to Satan when he believed the devil over God. The second Adam ( Jesus Christ ) came to earth as a new born child to experience everything we did. He suffered through this life and did not sin so He could become the payment or redeemer for our sins.  When a man lost his property he gave the title of the land to his creditor so now the land belonged to the creditor. However this was not permanent because during the time of jubilee the land automatically returned to the original owner.

The land could be redeemed in two different ways. The owner himself could pay the price for the land. The problem with this first scenario is Adam could never repay the cost for his sins. So he became a slave to his debt, or sins, so God cursed all of creation. When God came into the Garden of Eden looking for Adam he hid because he was ashamed. He covered himself with fig leaves to hide this shame, but it was not enough to pay the cost of his debts. So God expelled him from the garden and cursed the ground he had to till for his livelihood.

The second way the land could be returned to it’s rightful owner is a near Kinsman Redeemer. He could re – purchase the property while the original owner was still in slavery. When a person lost their property and became a slave two scrolls were made and the terms of redemption were written on them. The scrolls were kept in the temple. The first scroll was left open so anyone could come in and read the debt the man owed. The second scroll was sealed with seven seals  and when the Kinsman Redeemer  could prove first of all he was a near relative.  Second when he could prove that he was able to pay the debt the priest would bring out the second scroll. The priest would read the sealed demands for restitution . The Kinsman would pay the debt and the land would revert back to it’s original owner who would then be set free from slavery. The process of the scrolls was only used for the redemption of land. There was no scrolls used for the redemption of a wife or a slave. Now we go back to the beginning of chapter 5 in Revelation and we see that the redemption of the wife has already taken place. The wife is the New Testament Church that Jesus Christ paid for with His shed blood when He willingly gave up His life on thejesus-coming-in-the-clouds-pic cross.  Jesus will redeem all of us from the slavery of sin when he returns for the rapture of the Church.  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.  Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.” 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 NKJV This is when our bodies will be changed from flesh and blood to flesh and bones. We will have no need for internal organs anymore because we will be eternal beings. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.  So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” “O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?”1 Corinthians 15:53-55 NKJV

The only thing left after the rapture to be redeemed is the earth. Jesus will redeem the land after the tribulation period some seven years later. He will return to earth with all the saints and put an end to ungodly rebellion. For all that is in the world – the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life – is not of the Father but is of the world. 1 John 2:16 NKJV  This will be the first time he sets foot on the earth since His ascension to heaven. Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen. Revelation 1:7 All  of creation groans and travails under the curse of sin. The plants, the animals, and all kindred nations and tongues await the redemption of Jesus Christ return. He will remove the curse of sin and place Satan in the bottomless pit.

We read what happened to all of us when God proclaimed His curse in Genesis 3:17-18,  Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of which you were taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. KJV

0tornado  Now I want you to imagine for a minute what the earth, plants and animals will be like when the curse is lifted. There will be a tremendous change in the weather. There will still be rain, but no storms. No more hurricanes, no more blizzards, and no more tornadoes. Where now plants die in the fall when the curse is lifted we will live in an eternal spring. No more dead wood in trees, no more dying plants and animals. Flowers will bloom perpetually, and all animals and mankind will live in harmony.  In Isaiah 11:6-9 we read, “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.  And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.” NKJV

The book with the seven seals gives us the terms of which Adam lost all of creation. John the beloved apostle cried when it appeared that no one was worthy to open and read the scroll. But one of the elders said to John, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.” And I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth.  Then He came and took the scroll out of the right hand of Him who sat on the throne. Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.  And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, And have made us  kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.” Revelation 5:5-10 NJKV

We do not know when this Day of the Lord shall come.  Paul tells us in Romans 12:1-2, I beseech you therefore, brethren, by altjthe mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.  And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you,  not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come.  Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless

the falling away comes first ( people will stop worshiping God ), and the man of sin is revealed ( Satan’s son ) , the son of perdition…For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way ( the Holy Spirit will be removed ).  And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3, 7-8 NKJV In these verses the Church has already been removed to heaven and God is prepared to hand over the scroll to Jesus because He has fulfilled the requirements of a Kinsman Redeemer. Christ and His Church will soon be ready to rule over the earth  and all it’s inhabitants.

Calvary-Cross-Pics-0508  In Genesis it was prophesied that the Redeemer will come out of Judah and is the Root of David (the creator of David), and the Offspring of David. The bright and morning star. Jesus Christ is worthy to open the scroll that contained the seven seals. He is worthy because he was slain. He was worthy because He has redeemed us to God. He is worthy because he purchased our redemption at a tremendous price. He is worthy because He took His blood and paid the sin debt for ever people, kindred, and nation. Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands,  saying with a loud voice:“ Worthy is the Lamb who was slain To receive power and riches and wisdom, And strength and honor and glory and blessing!” And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying:“ Blessing and honor and glory and power Be to Him who sits on the throne, And to the Lamb, forever and ever!” Then the four living creatures said, “Amen!” And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped Him who lives forever and ever! Revelation 5:11-14
